Game Engine
Check out the Engine Specs that we used to determine our engines. Our final choices were the Poly Engine (Available at the VPE site) and the Frog Engine.
3D Computer-Aided Modeling (CAM) Tools
Jeff Campen uses 3DMetatools Infini-D. Also used in this project will be Rhino3D Modeler, available in the DePaul labs.
2D Art Tools
Per request of Elizabeth, we're using Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator programs.
Programming
Programming in C\C++ in the Visual C++ environment, we will use the following APIs.
OpenGL for 3D graphics acceleration.
DirectX for input devices, sound, and possibly network modules.
Microsoft Foundation Classes, to take advantage of Windows Messaging system and available resources.
