I was able to use the links below to find the bar areas of Chicago, for Sarah's birthday.
River North
The area near the Rainforest Cafe is called River North. River North is the place for young people and dancing. I've never gone to most of these bars.
River West
Sam also said that the Funky Buddha Lounge is good on Sunday nights. That's in River West, which would be just west of River North.
Wicker Park
Sam recommended the Wicker Park area. There's a place there called Red Dog where celebrities occasionally show up. To get to Wicker Park, you keep going west until you get to Halsted. Halsted is the street that has all the doggie boutiques and then Gay-Mart. You take Halsted north.
Lincoln Park
I looked up the Lincoln Park area since that's the one I'm familiar with. Keep going north on Halsted until you get to the doggie boutiques and you'll be in Lincoln Park.
Wrigleyville
Then, there is the Wrigleyville Area. Near Wrigley field is the Alley and the Metro. You keep going north on Halsted past Lincoln Park until you get near Gay-Mart. You'll also see giant rainbow pillars that harken your arrival to Boys' Town.
